This book is the only full written record of the Skye Bridge Anti-Tolls campaign. This campaign was one of the largest and most effective community struggles ever in post war Scotland. It lasted for over 9 years, involved many thousands of people, many thousands of ‘criminal’ charges and challenged two Governments. Yet in spite of every effort of the UK Government and establishment the small community in Skye who took up the challenge to fight for their community were eventually successful and defeated all the political economic and legal forces employed against them. This book is a full account of this historic struggle, written by Andy Anderson who played an active part in this campaign from beginning to end. The book is written in the two languages used by the campaigners, English and Gaelic. This is a hardback edition and has a number of historic pictures of the campaign and the beautiful part of Scotland where the battles were fought.
